Hermetic Library Newsletter #96

Omg! Don’t do it, gnome! Put down those matches!

Hope your turkey day was a success, if you celebrate! But, today the arrayed forces of Buy Nothing Day face off against the sinister army of Black Friday, so be safe out there!

This week I did a bunch related to the release of This Is Not An Hermetic Library Anthology Album -4 as a big thank you to my ongoing supporters, who help make all that I do possible. Really. They are the best! (And, if that’s you, hi!) I also generated image for Naberius from Goetia and Queen of Wands from Thoth Tarot. And, it was last Thursday of the month, so there was an Occult Love Fest-ursday. And, and, I’m holding a reverse sale on the library’s digital publications. And, and, and … gaining followers in the ‘verse, thinking about burning goats!

Then, on top of whatever I may have forgotten to mention, one of the library cats, too sweet (and yet still annoying!) snuggle bug elderly Mars, is not feeling so well right now. She could use your kind thoughts.

Plus, almanac, propaganda, memes, calendar, zine, updates, quotes, reviews, and more!

And, as always, I worked on various other things on website, blog, and more … Enjoy!

Black Friday reverse sale

Over at the Hermetic Library Digital Publications page, I’m having a special 50% more expensive reverse sale on the zines and comics for the today’s ItchIO Creator Day, November 25th, which also happens to be Black Friday!

One day only! Pay more! Support my work!

TINAHLAA-4 released!

Yesterday, for Thanksgiving, I released This Is Not An Hermetic Library Anthology Album -4, as a thank you from this year’s anthology artists and me, exclusively for Subscribers and Patrons in 2022, over on Bandcamp. You can also see the album page in the Anthology Project at Hermetic Library.

This Is Not An Hermetic Library Anthology Album -4 is a special alternative release in 2022 just for Patrons and Subscribers of Hermetic Library. This playlist has 8 tracks by 8 artists, with both old and new voices to the project this year!

Although the download is exclusive to supporters, I have also added this album into general rotation over on MUSIC RADIO @ HRMTC which is the only way that non-supporters can listen to the album, at least, unless they're friends with someone who supports the library and lets them listen to their copy …

Followers in the ‘verse

Over on the main library account in the ‘verse, the follower count passed 242 …

Who are all you people? How'd you get here? For that matter, how'd I get here? What day is it? What's my name? Who am I?! Aha! … and 300 …

“Let Us remind you that this is a magical formula of cosmic scope, and that it is given in exact detail in the legend of the Golden Fleece.” … and 333 …

(Even if I've only managed to finish making ½ of it pretty so far … prettiness is a lie. Just ask Paris! Judgemental much?)

Welp, I thought this had slowed down, but it kinda picked up again. In fact, there was, for the first time, a pretty good response to my last Thursday ‘o the month post for Occult Love Fest even!

Gävlebocken

As exciting as all that is, I just have to say that Gävlebocken better show up in the 'verse or I'll be very disappointed! It just isn't the season without the reason, y'know? At least, that’s how it is in this house.

I’ve followed this annual tradition for decades, and more recently had been following along on the site that has recently also been burning. (Nobody goes there anymore, do they? At least not now that I’m not there, right?) But, I wouldn't want the goat to get burned (again again again) when the birdsite goes down in flames, after all!

Omg! Don’t do it, gnome! Put down those matches!

MidJourney & DALL-E

This week, as I finished the threads from last week, I started up the new ones. On Tuesday, I started the thread with images generated from text and image prompts for Naberius from Goetia.

(24.) Naberius.—The Twenty-fourth Spirit is Naberius. He is a most valiant Marquis, and showeth in the form of a Black Crane fluttering about the Circle, and when he speaketh it is with a hoarse voice. He maketh men cunning in all Arts and Sciences, but especially in the Art of Rhetoric. He restoreth lost Dignities and Honours. He governeth 19 Legions of Spirits. His Seal is this, which is to be worn, etc.

Here’s various 4-up grids with previews generated by a mix of prompts across the two tools linked to the thread with the upscaled images. Apparently I didn’t do one with only the seal image this week. Maybe I was trying to save a little bit of my quota, but I forget. IDEK.

Then I started a thread on Thursday with images for the Queen of Wands card.

And now there’s entries for Naberius and Queen of Wands in Hermeneuticon.

Now showing: Pulp Magick! Also, you know, check out Crowley’s influence on Gardnerian Wicca.
